Itinerary
Day 1: Helsinki – Jussarö – Tammisaari
Morning departure from Helsinki with afternoon arrival in Jussarö. Enjoy a guided tour on the island which is famous for its lighthouse and iron ore. This island was opened to tourism in summer 2005. Prior to that it was controlled by the Finnish Armed Forces. Continue to Tammisaari. Taamisaari is a green town in the archipelago, situated on the southernmost point of Finland. The atmosphere of the town is idyllic and peaceful. Enjoy a waling tour visiting the wooden old town, the church and a small museum. Overnight onboard ship.
Day 2: Tammisaari – Jurmo - Utö
Early morning departure from Tammisari to the island of Jurmo. Situated in the outer archipelago it is the largest of a number of islands which belong to the magnificent Salpausselkä ridge, one of the biggest territorial moraines in Northern Europe stretching from Karelia in the east to the Hanko area in southwest Finland. Continue to the island of Utö – the most southern inhabited island in Finland. The rugged nature, spectacular landscape and inhabited village community are part of the uniqueness of this island. Overnight onboard ship.
Day 3: Utö – Kökar - Nauvo
Early morning departure from Utö to the island of Kökar. This is a unique archipelago community, where the sea is always close at hand. The rocks are barren and there is practically no forest. It is indeed a magnificent sea-washed and wind-swept island, with a rich and colorful history. Continue to Nauvo. This idyllic archipelago is a very popular place to visit, especially with private boats. You will have a guided tour in the village, visiting the grey stone church and see a small exhibition of ships’ models. Overnight onboard ship.
Day 4: Helsinki
Sail back to Helsinki. Tour ends upon arrival in Helsinki.
