Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Helsinki
Transfer from Helsinki Airport to the hotel. Overnight at Radisson SAS Royal Hotel.
Day 2: Helsinki – St. Petersburg
Transfer to the railway station for an early morning departure on the Finnish train “Sibelius”. Lunch box on train. Transfer to your hotel. Guided tour of the city with a local, English-speaking guide. Famous sights include St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Peter and Paul Fortress, and burial place of the Russian Tsars. Welcome dinner at Adamant Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel Ambassador.
Day 3: St. Petersburg
After a buffet breakfast, enjoy a panoramic tour of the city by coach. Lunch in the Hermitage Restaurant followed by a 3-hour visit to the world-famous Hermitage Art Museum and the State Rooms at the Winter Palace. Dinner will be served at a typical Russian restaurant. Overnight at Ambassador Hotel .
Day 4: St. Petersburg
This morning, accompanied by an English-speaking Russian guide, depart by hydrofoil for the most magnificient summer residence of all the Russian Tsars. Enjoy lunch at the Restaurant Adamant. 1-hour guided boatcruise along the rivers and canals of St. Petersburg. In the evening enjoy a colourful Russian folklore show at the Nikolaevsky Palace. Dinner will be served at the Backstage Restaurant of the Mariinsky Theatre. Overnight at Ambassador Hotel.
Day 5: St. Petersburg – Moscow
Buffet breakfast at hotel followed by tour of the town of Pushkin including a tour of Catherine&8217;s Palace. Lunch at Admiralty Restaurant. Transfer to St. Petersburg Airport. Flight from St. Petersburg to Moscow. Arrival in Moscow followed by transfer to your hotel. Moscow was founded in the 12th century, built as a wooden fortress on the banks of the Moscow River. Today it is a modern city with wide boulevards and green parks, proudly preserving its historic monuments and impressive buildings. Dinner and accommodations at Tverskaya Marriott Hotel.
Day 6: Moscow
Morning tour of the Kremlin and Armoury Museum. Pass by the Lenin Mausoleum and the grave of the unknown soldier, the Coronation Church of the Tsars, and the famous Vasilij Cathedral. Lunch in Godunov Restaurant. After lunch walk through the Red Square to rejoin your coach for a city tour, including the Saviour Cathedral, the amazing golden, blue and green towers of the Orthodox churches, the Bolshoy Theatre & much more. Dinner and accommodations at Tverskaya Marriott Hotel.
Day 7: Moscow
Buffet breakfast followed by a guided tour of the WW2 Memorial on Poklonnaya Hill, followed by a visit to Borodino Panorama. Lunch at Sudar Restaurant. After lunch a guided tour of the famous Moscow Metro, followed by a walk along the fascinating pedestrian street Arbat. Rest of the afternoon free to explore on your own. May we recommend shopping in the GUM department store or a visit to Pushkin Museum or to the popular Tretiakov Art Gallery. Dinner and accommodations at Tverskaya Marriott Hotel.
Day 8: Moscow departure
Transfer Moscow Airport for your return flight home.
