Day 1: Copenhagen Arrive in Copenhagen with the rest of the day free for sightseeing. Overnight in Copenhagen. Day 2: Copenhagen – Fredensborg Pick up your car and drive along the panoramic Strandvejen to Kronborg, the castle of Hamlet. Be sure to stop by the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art on the way to Fredensborg Castle, one of the Royal Family’s residences. Drive to Fredensborg Store Kro, built by King Frederik IV in connection with the construction of Fredensborg Castle in the years 1719-1722. Overnight at Fredensborg Store Kro. Day 3: Fredensborg - Hørve On your way to Hørve, be sure to stop in Roskilde to visit the Viking Museum and take a stroll in this quaint town. Overnight at Dragsholm Castle. Day 4: Hørve - Fåborg Today you travel to the island of Funen by crossing the newly opened 18-kilometers Big Belt Bridge. Visit Odense and the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen. Overnight at Steensgaard Herregård. Day 5: Fåborg – Copenhagen Before leaving Steensgaard, visit other castles in the area open only to day-visitors, including Valdemar’s Castle and Egeskov Castle.
