Day 1: Reykjavik
Pick up your car at Keflavik airport and drive to the south of Iceland for overnight.
Day 2: South of Iceland
Visit Skálholt church, the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir and the Thingvellir National Park.
Day 3: South of Iceland
Enjoy an excursion to Landmannalaugar and take a refreshing bath in the natural hot springs.
Day 4 & 5: Lake Myvatn
Continue across the interior of Iceland through Sprengisandur to Lake Myvatn. Drive to the Krafla volcano area, the hot springs of Námaskard and around Lake Myvatn.
Day 6: Lake Myvatn - Skagafjördur
Drive to Skagafjördur. En route you have the option of many additional activities including horse riding, river rafting, whale watching and visiting the ancient farm museum in Glaumbær.
Day 7 & 8: Snæfellsnes - Borgarfjördur - Reykjavik
Head south across Laxárdalsheidi to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Drive around the Snæfellsnes glacier, through Borgarfjördur to Reykjavik.
Day 9: Reykjavik
Return car and itinerary ends.
