Kayaking

Glide through the serene waters and witness the majestic elegance of icebergs, observe a diverse array of birds and seals, and perhaps catch a glimpse of whales in their natural habitat. This experience is guided by seasoned kayak experts who prioritize your safety throughout each journey.

Engage your body, mind, and heart in an unforgettable adventure, led by experienced Kayak Masters. Kayaking activities are available on both Arctic and Antarctic voyages.

While kayaking is feasible in most locations during Antarctic excursions, the timing and locations are subject to weather, sea, and ice conditions, ensuring your safety and enhancing your overall experience.

To participate in this activity, previous kayaking experience is required, and attendees must attend a mandatory safety briefing conducted by the Kayak Master.

Kayaking is an option on all ships and trips, contingent on favorable conditions. On Antarctica-based trips, there are generally 2-4 outings per voyage, with fewer on Arctic-based trips. In case of more sign-ups than available spaces, an onboard lottery system is utilized to select participants.

Please note that kayaking is not available on South American, Mid-Atlantic, and most European voyages.

Price: Kayaking is offered on all ships and all trips, excluding South American, Mid-Atlantic, and Scotland voyages.

Booking: Kayaking can be booked on board during your stay.

Experience Level: Previous kayaking experience is necessary.

Weather Conditions: The expedition leader will make decisions based on weather, sea, and ice conditions to ensure your safety and enhance your overall experience. Camping activities will be facilitated to the best extent possible.

Hi Bobby, We are home after a pleasant trip to Scandinavia with great friends, breathtaking scenery, amazing food, awesome hotels, and unforgettable memories! Loved the train trip on the Bergen Railway. The many ferry crossings we made were also spectacular. I can’t really put into words how beautiful this part of the world is. The fjords are majestic and unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. The tour was well coordinated and almost everything worked out as it was supposed to. The only issue we came across was the day we spent in Stockholm. The weather wasn’t cooperating (lots of rain), and some of the sights we wanted to see on our free time were either closed for repairs or closed for the day. Oh well. We have traveled quite a bit with many tour companies and and your services were second to none, during and prior to our departure from Colorado. We will not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone who is planning to travel to Scandinavia. Once again thanks a lot for a job well done. We really enjoyed the whole tour and the manner in which it was handled by Nordic Saga Tours. Cheers, Madh and Bryson Everly
